Tradition, titles and a strong commitment to youth development
AS Pontoise Cergy TT has been one of France’s best-known and most successful table tennis clubs for many years. The club’s roots go back
to 1927, when Pontoise was one of the ten founding clubs of the French Table Tennis Federation. AS Pontoise Cergy has been a DONIC
partner since 2005.
Over the years, the club has also built an outstanding reputation on the international stage. By winning the Champions League in
2014 and 2016 as well as the Europe Cup in 2021, Pontoise Cergy became one of the few European clubs to have won both of the
continent’s major team competitions. In France, the team claimed the national championship in 2015, 2016 and 2024.
Youth development has long been a central pillar of the club’s philosophy. With the ASPCTT Academy, Pontoise Cergy operates
one of France’s renowned training centres. Young players are able to combine high-performance table tennis with their education
while benefiting from the experience of qualified coaches and international players. In this way, the club consistently combines
professional top-level sport with the development of its own young talents.
For the 2026/27 season, Pontoise Cergy once again relies on this successful combination. The club has signed 18-year-old Taiwanese
player Hung Jing-Kai and Chinese player Zhou Kai, two highly promising international players for the leading positions in
the team.
Experienced Italian Olympian Mihai Bobocica also strengthens the squad. They are joined by Jules Cavaillé as well as
Flavio Mourier and Thomas Laroche, both products of Pontoise Cergy’s youth development system. The new head coach of
the first team is former French international and long-time Pontoise player Dany Lo.
AS Pontoise Cergy therefore remains true to its philosophy: international quality, French talent and sustainable youth
development – a combination that fits perfectly with the DONIC Family.
