The close partnership between DONIC and Flavien Coton began when he was just twelve years old – a collaboration that quickly proved to be a perfect match. Playing with DONIC equipment, the young Frenchman captured the World Cadet Singles title at the age of only 15, announcing himself on the international stage. It was the breakthrough of an exceptional talent who rapidly established himself among Europe's brightest young prospects.
Just two years later, Flavien celebrated another major milestone by becoming the European Under-21 Champion at the age of only 17. An extraordinary achievement that underlined both his outstanding potential and the remarkable progress he had made over the previous months. Throughout the tournament, he impressed with his mental strength, repeatedly fighting back from difficult positions, staying calm under pressure and delivering almost error-free performances in the decisive moments.
Flavien has now successfully made the transition from junior competitions to the highest international level. Winning the WTT Contender Tunis title was another major step forward and propelled him into the world's Top 25 in the ITTF World Rankings. He also showcased his exceptional abilities at the World Team Championships, defeating several higher-ranked opponents, including then World No. 5 Hugo Calderano Against China's World No. 1 Wang Chuqin, he came within touching distance of a sensational victory. His outstanding performances played a key role in France's historic bronze medal finish.
Consistency is one of Flavien's trademarks—not only in his performances but also in his loyalty. Despite receiving offers from several top clubs, he has remained committed to his hometown club and DONIC partner CTT Bruille. After helping the club earn promotion to France's top division, he immediately established himself as one of the team's leading players. In their very first season at the highest level, Flavien guided TT Bruille to the semi-finals of the French Championship play-offs, once again demonstrating his continuous development at the highest level of the sport.
Away from the table, Flavien has remained refreshingly down-to-earth. Like his sporting idol Roger Federer, he is a true family person who greatly values the support of his loved ones and the familiarity of his home environment. It comes as no surprise that table tennis plays such an important role in the Coton family: his father is a coach at CTT Bruille, his mother serves as the club's vice president, and his older brother Adrien is also an active player. For the Coton family, table tennis is far more than just a sport—it is a way of life. That passion is reflected in Flavien's game and continues to fuel his remarkable rise among the world's elite.

How did you get into table tennis?
Through my family, as my whole family plays table tennis at CTT Bruille.
Which coaches supported you or discovered your talent?
My parents, since I was three years old.
How many training sessions do you do per week (table tennis, fitness, other)?
Nine table tennis training sessions per week, plus three fitness sessions.
What are your goals for this season/year, as well as your medium- and long-term goals?
This season, I want to earn promotion to National League 1 with my club, become French champion in the Minimes age category, and compete at the CEJ.
Medium-term: win the European Youth Championships.
Long-term: win Olympic gold.
