Playing style and strengths
Joé Seyfried represents modern, dynamic and remarkably consistent attacking table tennis. The Frenchman looks to take the initiative early, putting his opponents under pressure with speed, precise placement and aggressive opening shots. Especially close to the table, he can quickly turn the opening phase into powerful attacking play.
One of his major strengths is his over-the-table game and quality of receive. With aggressive receiving techniques, Seyfried can take control early and immediately transition into his own offensive game.
He also possesses a well-balanced attacking game on both wings, combining fast, direct backhand play with powerful forehand topspins, excellent timing and precise placement.
What particularly sets Seyfried apart, however, is his outstanding consistency. He makes very few unforced errors and shows remarkably little fluctuation in his performance – both during individual matches and throughout an entire tournament.
